So, we got
to the Folks’ about 1:30ish.
First, we
had scoop chips and queso and shrimp cocktail.
I had a Pepsi and Joey had a Fresca while we waited on the turkey and
stuffs. The Purina Dog Show was playing
in the background before doing a replay of the Parade. We decided to play Scrabble, which Mom edged
me out on the last play. Oh well.
When the turkey
and gravy was finished, we sat down to eat.
Thanksgiving was turkey with dressing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes,
roles, fruit salad, cranberry sauce, and olives. Joey and I had eggnog straight. I don’t mind rum, but straight. In eggnog it’s nasty. For dessert, we had key lime pie or pumpkin.
Thoroughly
stuffed, Mom packed up some provisions, and Dad took us home. Then, we watched Wizard of Oz.
It was a
good day in the Rhode clan.
And, you

Be good to
