So, I don’t
know how I feel about this.
First and foremost,
this is just sad. The whole Thai soccer
team’s probably going to die from A. oxygen depletion, B. starvation, or C. drowning
from flooding from the forecasted rains this weekend. A professional’s already died bringing them provisions.
The other
feeling I’ve got is dumbfoundedness if that can be called a feeling. Yeah, the group’d done that particular cave a
few times, but apparently NOT this time of year. Speaking of, one’d’ve thought living there,
they’d’ve known monsoon season was coming; therefore, knowing it was a bad idea
to go amateur spelunking there. Now,
fams are going to lose loved ones for nothing.
I understand
about being adventurous. We try to do an
adventure a month, so we’ve had our fair share, including some that, in
hindsight, were dumb ideas…some that could’ve, at least, cancelled
me when I was single and younger...and, dumber.
I can’t
imagine, I get claustrophobic if I get stuck somewhere I can’t get out of…and,
they’re in a cramped space in the dark to boot…MAN. I saw the film Everest yesterday. At one
point they explained that climbers that died there, are STILL there, because
they froze to the rock and it was too hard to retrieve them. I hope this isn’t the case here.
Here’s
praying a solution can be found.
Be good to
each other.
