Afternoon,
Guys…
So, let’s
welcome The Connors to the airwaves
next Fall on ABC, saving several people’s jobs lost when Roseanne was canceled after the namesake’s racial rant on
Twitter. Everybody’s on board with Sara
Gilbert’s character in the lead. As for
Roseanne, after negotiations and probably a fat payoff, she relinquished her
rights and’ll have nothing to do with the new show with her trying to save face
by saying she didn’t want the other employees to suffer…but, how to write her
out?
The easy fix’d
be to carry on with the storyline that was going when the show was canceled of
her abusing painkillers and needing a knee surgery. The easy fix’d be she didn’t make it, as I
think I mentioned when I talked about the initial cancellation. Yeah, I know that’s a morbid end, but it’d
fit the way the theme the show was going in.
Hopefully,
this gives the character some grow up space, because, as she was, she was
getting on our nerves as adults around the same age. We understand parenting isn’t a perfect science,
especially single parenting, but some things were just…”Come on.”
At any rate,
I hope it does well.
What you
guys think?
Be good to
each other.
