So, check
this bit of naked brilliance from Demi Lovato, who’s been painfully candid
about the demons in her life, using her platform as a soundtrack to said life
as well as a way to make anybody, who listens to her music and lyrics feel they
aren’t alone.
Sure, she
could spit out shiny happy ever album and make millions, but she chooses to
show her darker side that most people try to hide while extolling all their
accomplishments. That’s not real
life. I have to give her kudos and a
standing O for throwing herself out there, KNOWING people’re going to judge.
For those of
you that’ve been with us since Jan., you know we went into this laying
everything naked, the good, bad, ugly, and God awful for better or worse. If we are to teach people and guide other
crips coming up or the made crip trying to adjust, we have to be honest. Trust me, it sucks reliving stuff, but it’s
for the better good…and, if it helps someone along the way, so be it.
I’m a couple
times in listening to this song, hearing the sadness in her voice, misty-eyed,
wanting to give her hug.
Just know
you’re not alone through anything.
Be good to
each other.
