So, we just
saw USA whoop up on Japan (10-0) in sitting hockey. Canada’s going to be our strong rival since
they beat Sweden 17-0. I noticed some
were on their sleds with their legs out and some kneeling. I noticed this watching the biathlon and
Alpine also. I’m in awe, because a hockey
game’s 3 periods. Since I’ve got feeling
in my legs; although, I can, I couldn’t kneel for that long. My legs’d fall asleep, and I HATE that pins
and needles feeling of limbs waking up.
In the Alpine, if the athlete has feeling, it must hurt hitting the
bumps kneeling at the speeds they’re going, because their legs wrap UNDER their
seating platform…that’s A LOT of pressure on the knees bent that way, then, when
you factor speed and terrain? OH, AND,
IF THEY GET AIR, which I’ve seen in Alpine.
MAN! If the athlete can’t feel or
is a double amputee, it’s all good.
Still, though.
Be good to
each other.
