So this afternoon, Mom invited us to catch a rendition of Beauty and the Beast at our community theatre.
Wow, just wow, Joey and I were laughing, we were crying, we were laughing and crying at the same time...the sets, the costumes, the singing...just wow!
Now, we've seen Cats, Oklahoma!, and Saturday Night Fever off Broadway. We've seen Phantom of the Opera in Broadway. All were awesome, with Phantom bringing to tears. Now, I can add Beast.
Of course, they sang the classics from the Disney animated movie, plus, some we were familiar with that, I guess, are only in the music.
One thing that surprised us, especially here in bible thumping Midland, was the gayness of LeFou. At one point, he actually kisses Gaston, which wasn't even in the live-action version of the movie. It was awesome!
If you guys get a chance to check out a rendition of the musical, do yourself a favor, and check it out...
