Afternoon, Fam…
So, I was
going to tell you guys about my thoughts about Netflix’s Mowgli and Wreck-It-Ralph II:
Ralph Breaks the Internet, which I still plan on doing, but other craziness’s
happened since yesterday!
This
morning, Lisa came to get me up, and she told me the three songs (“Gone Away”, “In
the End”, and “Angels Fall”) she wants me to make an interpretive painting,
which, if you’ve followed us, you know I love doing art based on song lyrics. She wants it for her to give to one of her
sons for Christmas. She’d seen the
others I’ve been doing for Vi since she started a couple weeks ago. She said she had to be crafty, so he wouldn’t
ask too many questions. He’s a teen, so
he’s suspicious by definition…Haha!
Anyway, she
asked him as she was heading out the door, which, of course, he wanted to know
why. She said she deflected the question. Good girl.
I jumped on
the bus to go to Hobby Lobby for the third time in as many weeks…busy’s
good! She wanted a 27” canvas, but they
only do even number measurements, so I got a 28”x22” It’s tiny compared to what I’ve been doing
lately. Then, I headed back to the stop
to wait for the bus.
While I waited,
I was minding my own, of course, when this lady came from behind me. She said she wanted to give me this as she
held out her hand, which held a $100 BILL!
I told her I couldn’t accept it, and she said she insisted, Merry
Christmas, and she got in her ride and was off.
Yeah, I’m
not too much of a man to admit, I tried hard not to blubber the rest of the wait
for the bus and on the bus…OMG!
What a day!
Guys, life
throws you many curves, not all’re bad.
Be good to
each other.
