Evening, Fam…
So, I’ve had
a couple days to let Rick Grimes last episode on TWD to digest…sort of. The
episode didn’t end as I expected, which was a nice change, but it leaves a
buttload of questions in its wake.
*SPOILERS*
After the
episode, I read Andrew Lincoln WASN’T done with Rick as he’d been broadcasting
on the con circuit and interviews to spend more time with his fam. OK, what?
OK, Rick does die as everybody does when they leave the show. I can live with that. It was definitely a cliffhanger going into
that commercial break. Yeah, Joey and I
were crying…damn, Daryl and Michonne for breaking down.
Naw, over
the next few years, I’m assuming, starting next year, AMC Films, Andrew
Lincoln, and Scott M. Gimple, who essentially runs TWD, are going to develop three Rick Grime-centric TV flicks. Hmmm, blows the whole “wanting to be with fam”
bit to hell. So, he’s dicking his fam
for real as well as on TV…hmmm.
The epilogue
of the episode had a six-year jump, where we see Judith, Rick’s daughter,
taking up his mantle. Joey hated this
part. Honestly, it smacked of the last
season of Ghost Whisperer back in the
day. Then, they had a commercial break
during an episode and three years’d passed.
The series was cancelled that year.
I’m curious
to see where they go from Rick. If these
Rick-centric TV movies come to pass, I’ll be on board to at least what happened
to the man since, in all honestly, he should’ve checked out.
We’ll have
to see.
Be good to
each other.
