Evening, Fam…
So, we open
the garage for our girls in the morning instead of giving the keys to the house
in case they quit and don’t want to give said keys back…yes, it’s
happened. In that case, we have to
change our locks and whatnot, it’s a mess and a hassle.
Anyway, this
morning, we let Jaime in, no prob. She
does her thing, gets Joey up, makes breakfast, yada, yada, yada, and leaves out
the front, leaving the lock unlocked for Ashley. It’s been that way every morning she’s been
here ever since she came back.
Well, the
doorbell rings, and Joey answers it. The
mailman leaves one of those fliers that he tried to drop off a package, which’s
bullshit, because he would’ve left it, right?
Right.
Joey knows
the way he leaves, because they’ve done this to her before, so she goes to open
the garage to chase him down…but, the garage only opens half way…DAMN.
I throw out
ideas of what it could be after she texts Jaime to find out it opened just fine
for her. When I get up, I get the
reacher to see if there are any webs on sensors to mess up the signals, but
before I do that, I try my opener. We
both came to the conclusion the door’s off the track on the left side, so I
called Overhead Door Company of Permian Basin, which we’ve done business and
they’ve always done us right.
Now, we’re
waiting for someone to show with the front door open, so we can get out if we
need to.
It’s always
something. Welcome to house ownership.
Be good to
each other.
