My Bad, I Rattled a Cage.

Morning, Fam…

So, it seems I rattled a cage yesterday with a comment…yes, controversy!  Controversy’s good …if it means something and makes people think.  Being bored, having money to burn, and needing attention like some popular vloggers out there, ain’t good.

Anyway, I made a comment about doing for yourself and that having your provider doing whatever for you with you overseeing it, doesn’t constitute you doing it.  I should’ve reworded that.  I’m human, I screw up, and I said as much.  I’ve been told I was absent the day tact was given out, and it came back to bite me in the ass.

Yes, you’re not doing the physical act, but if you’re present while whoever’s doing it for you instead doing your own thing, then, yes, that be considered “doing” whatever, because you’re giving your time to whatever and whoever.

Now, on to the other part.  I’m still a firm believer in cutting out the middle man, like I said yesterday, so if you can do whatever, do it, if you THINK you can do, do it.  If you fall on your ass, at least you tried.

I used to be the handicap that left everything to my providers without trying, but I learned a. I did it the way I wanted it.  It probably wasn’t perfect, but I could say I did it.  And, b. it pushed me to adapt and make it happen instead of watching go through the motions and me just knowing the mechanics of whatever.

From day 1, I admitted to being a crip snob, I don’t like the victim.  Like Michelle Pfeiffer says in Dangerous Minds, “There are no victims in this classroom!”  Saw it in the theater back in the day, you should check it out.
A crip knows their limitations, but they also do as much for themselves within those limitations.

Be good to each other.
