Morning,
Ladies and Gents…
So, I
borrowed this from Patty’s FB.
I often talk
about life not having a handbook or likening it to skydiving without a
parachute (To paraphrase love from Hitch). Hopefully, somewhere along the way you find
someone you can trust that’ll help you when you fall, because, face it, you
will fall A LOT. Not wishing it on
anyone in particular, just fact. Even
then, at the end of the day you’re responsible for you and what you’ve done.
Now, we know
crips that haven’t made it out of the parental unit house, because they’re
obviously scare, but then, turn around and blame it on this and that…mainly,
their cripness.
Yeah, we get
it, living on your own is scary shit…especially if you’re a crip. There’ve been PLENTY of times when I was on
my own I wondered how the hell I was going to do this or that. With Joey almost 18 years, and we still have
shit come up where we wonder how…AND, this isn’t little trivial shit. Yes, and, we’re guilty of the blame game too,
but at the end of the day, it’s always on us.
Now, I’m not
saying go out there, because you’re an adult, because that’s what adults do,
no. I don’t want anybody to fail at life
even if you’ve had a silver spoon in your mouth most of your life. Some people just can’t. BUT, don’t “don’t do,” because of something
that might take work, and blame it on someone else or a cripness.
I also know
people that’ve made it out of the parental unit house, but their parental units
pay their stuff. Again, it’s great to
have someone in life to help you along like we hope we’re doing here, but don’t
turn around blame said person if a bill doesn’t get paid. Try to learn the ins and outs of setting up
home. If you can’t get it, OK, you
tried. Yeah, budgeting and being an
adult sucks, but, it’s your life. Like
my dad used to tell me when he was getting me up in the mornings for school and
I didn’t want to wake up to help, “Participate in getting yourself up.”
Be good to
each other.
