Early
morning, Guys…
So, Guys,
sorry I haven’t been taking as much as I normally have, but I’ve really been off doing
a painting for someone who asked. I
finished today. I’ll show you tomorrow
after it dries, and I seal it.
This
morning, I read an
article on MovieWeb with an update on Batkid,
Miles Scott, who had leukemia when he was 5 when he had a wish granted from the
Make-A-Wish foundation and the citizens of San Fran banded together to make
young Miles’ dream come true.
Happily, he’s
been in remission for the last 5 years.
I’d wondered. That was the good
thing about the article.
Now, my beef
with the article…
Make-A-Wish’s
quote read self-serving in my opinion in that they said they were a gamechanger
in his fight to his remission.
I understand
one of the keys to curing a disease like, say, cancer, is mindset, so, although
that was a high, that was only one day out of a lengthy battle since he had the
disease since he was 1.
Don’t get me
wrong, I’m not shitting on the foundation, they’re angels making kids’ wishes
come true in the face of life and death when the endgame’s never a definite
positive.
They came
off as throwing in a plug to their cause when the focus should be solely on
Miles triumph.
Just my two
cents.
Be good to
each other.
