So,
yesterday, I spoke about the double standard it seems there is between some
celebs and normal folk. Of course, Guys,
this is just how I see things, I’m talking for Joey, and I’m not pushing my
views on you guys. Everything I write’s
just observations. If I’m wrong, I’ll
admit it.
Given that,
I’ve got a couple examples of celebs either being a role model or doing what’s
right even if it’s just for one in a crowd.
First, the
other day, at San Diego Comic Con, the cast of the new Halloween were doing a Q&A when a fan testified how he was in a
bad spot, and to get out, he thought to himself, “What would Laurie (Strode) do?” It helped him focus, and apparently, save his
own life. Jamie Lee Curtis was so moved,
she called him to the stage, where she met him with a hug and they took pics
together.
The other, I
read about this morning on TMZ. The
story was about rapper, Trippie Redd, who was in the thick of a concert when he
noticed something going down in the crowd.
A girl’d passed out. He stopped
the show demanding help, even going off on people just standing around. Then, he threw her some water to drink when she
came to.
We hear a
lot of the cray cray stuff celebs do that ain’t cool, but then, examples like
these show what they’re really made of.
It’s a breath of fresh air in a cynical world, where we think the next
person’ll take care of it when it was really our calling, our test.
In our
lives, in our position, we see some pass and more fail…or, squeak by thinking
they’re the shit.
I want to
pass. How ‘bout you?
Be good to
each other.
