So, I saw
this a few days ago on my Twitter feed.
As you guys
know Joey and I’ve got providers that come through here a couple times a day to
help us get stuff done.
Now, we
could just say, “Do it,” and trust me, it’s hella tempting sometimes, I can
guaran damn tee you we wouldn’t have help long.
Younger J wouldn’t think twice of going that route. Yeah, I was popular in all the WRONG ways
growing up.
We tell
people from the get go the stuff we ask is stuff we’d do ourselves IF we
could. Sometimes, it is stuff that just
takes hella long time to get done, so we ask help. We try to help out as much as we can in those
incidences like holding doors or letting them put groceries on the backs of our
chairs or laps. Still, we say,
“let’s.” That’s the difference between
being a boss and a leader. Still,
sometimes it doesn’t get done, but that’s on them at that point.
People
respect leaders that’ll get their hands dirty as opposed to bosses that sit on
their asses in their fuzzy slippers stuffing their pie hole with bon bons.
Be good to
each other.
