So, a few years ago, we watched a show called Speechless starring Micah Fowler, who has CP, and today, we watched Out of My Mind starring Phoebe Rae-Taylor, who also has CP.
Both play nonverbals, but both can speak. Why would the producers have them not speak when they can? I understand the titles' implications, but why make them worse off than they are if the goal's to uplift and educate?
