Bleeding Feelings in Paint.

So, these pieces of art I did 5 years and 7 years ago respectively came up in my memories on my FB feed recently.

The first’s titled “On My Own” based on The Used’s song “On My Own”.  The song makes me think of my place in the world along with losing my friends (I’ve lost more than Noe to MD and other diseases and circumstances of life) and my brother…especially the last line.  It’s interesting this one has sold a couple times when it has uncertain and sad feelings behind it.

"See all those people on the ground
Wasting time
I try to hold it all inside
But just for tonight
The top of the world
Sitting here wishing
The things I've become
That something is missing
Maybe I...
But what do I know.

And now it seems that I have found
Nothing at all
I want to hear your voice out loud
Slow it down, slow it down
Without it all
I'm choking on nothing
It's clear in my head
And I'm screaming for something
Knowing nothing is better than knowing at all.”

The second’s titled “Life’s Rules”, showing life's not perfect, and when you think you know the rules, they change and they change again until you realize there aren’t any.

Ah, the wonders of art.

Be good to each other.
