Fear-Finding Humanity

Early morning, Fam...

So, while we watch Tim Curry’s It, I’m going chime in on the season finale of Fear the Walking Dead.  Yes, we’ve seen Bill Skarsgård, but in our opinion, they tried to hard to make Pennywise look scary, thus, killing the effect.  Curry looks like a common clown until he opens his mouth literally.  Of course, we’ll see Chapter 2 since James McAvoy’s playing Bill of the Loser’s Club as an adult, and, well, you guys know Joey LOVES him.  BTW, if any of you guys in the know, she’d love to get an autograph or some kind of message from him for her birthday on the 6th.  Just throwing it out there.

Anyway, back to Fear.  After losing Nick and Madison the 1st half of the season, the remaining survivors were broken emotionally.  I figured with them splintered they’d be easy pickings by walkers and live people alike.  True, there were some deaths, but you’ll have to check it out.

This season’s been Morgan-centric since he left Rick’s community in Alexandria in TWD to fin his humanity again, along the way meeting Strand, Alicia, and Luciana as well as newcomers, Althea, John, June / Naomi / Laura, Wendall and Sarah, Jim, and Charlie, who was originally a member of the Vultures, Fear’s call for the Saviors in the 1st half of the season.  I think June / Naomi / Laura finally settled on June.

First, the last two episodes finally got the gang back together except for Althea, who got separated from the gang in the hospital and asshole Jim sacrificing himself in a bit of heroism after he was bitten. Now, the gang has to make it back to Alexandria under Morgan’s guidance…except for Martha, who, like Morgan, went left after losing her fam when no one would help them after they got in a wreck trying to flee the walkers.  The difference between the two’s Morgan found his way back, making him the moral compass after Madison…*cue ominous music* dum, dum, dummm.

On a final note, Charlie redeemed herself as she and Alicia connected, Wendall’s proved that crips can make it in the zombie apocalypse, albeit, with the help of Sarah and she getting help from the seasoned group, and June’s proved she has heart as opposed to the con artist she came off as in the beginning of the season.

It’ll be interesting to see where season 5’ll take us.  But, before that season 9 of TWD starts next month highlighting Rick’s last episodes.  Hmmm, I’ve read rumors.

Be good to each other, kids.
