So, I JUST
saw this commercial on the tube. I
wondered why I wasn’t hearing anything ‘til I looked up to see they people were
signing! Isn’t that cool?! I guess I’m easily amused, but the
commercials that’ve been airing
here
give me so much crip pride. No, the
commercials don’t show wheelchair crips, but I feel pride for the deaf and
blind.
With
commercials and shows like Speechless
ramping up for its third season and Switched
at Birth before it on the tube showing a realistic view their lives, albeit,
in a comedy setting with Speechless
and a teen drama with Switched, it’s
a very exciting time for us.
