Pointing the Finger.

Afternoon, Fam…

So, this commercial pisses us off every time it’s aired.

You ask what gives, J?

Well, first off, the actors and actresses clearly play gay characters like they’re only “high risk” demo for HIV/AIDS.  Anybody that’s not been living under a rock for oh say, the last 30 odd years, knows that’s not true.  Needle junkies’re just as susceptible.  And, why didn’t they have a hooker on the commercial?  Aren’t they high-risk moreso than the gay community?

Don’t get me wrong, it’s cool they’re putting commercials out to promote the drugs to keep HIV/AIDS manageable; whereas, it used to be hush hush, sweep it under the carpet and so prohibitively costly that only the rich could afford said drugs, but it’s unfair to showcase the gay community, because it’s more PC than showing a junkie or a hooker.

Be good to each other.
