Afternoon,
Fam…
So, last
night was rough on TWD.
J, you’re
cheesy getting misty-eyed over a show with walkers.
OK, so I am,
but, like I said yesterday, it’s about humanity,
not the gore. Besides, after the
episode, they had Chandler on the talk show, The Talking Dead, with cast sending him love about how they got to
watch him grow up, as, we, the viewers, did over the last eight years.
I’m gonna
break out with more cheese, so bear with me.
Rigg’s acting was so poignant and had such a strong message of letting
go and living for the day. This
storyline was juxtaposed to the ongoing war with Negan some of the other cast
was carrying on to show the yin and yang.
Interspersed with those two storylines were Carl’s dreams of the perfect
world he knew could be…including Negan in one scene. These scenes were played in the first half of
the season, but, at least, I thought they were dreams Rick was having. End of cheese.
Then, this
morning, I read director Kevin Smith had a massive heart attack just last
night! WHAT?? Dude’s not much older than me! Apparently, he had two shows he was doing
when he fell out after the first. He was
smart, and cancelled the second to go to the hospital, which, essentially saved
his life! Talk about dodging a bullet.
Now, you
guys know I lost my best friend, Noe, when I was 14 to MD, then, my big brother,
Joey, right above me in ’00, so I know how fleeting life is. Death doesn’t discriminate and has no time
limit. Someone’s here one minute and
gone the next. It’s up to you how you
fill the time.
Everybody,
who knows me personally says I’m crazy for the stuff I pull. I consider that a compliment, I also consider
getting old a compliment, graying hair and all, because I know far too many
other than Noe and Joey, who didn’t get that luxury. It’s a sobering thought, huh?
So, I’m
taking this time to tell you guys how much I truly appreciate each and everyone
of you, who read us and keep coming back to see what’s up in our lives.
Seize the day, and be good to
each other.
-J-
